Our friendship started with an inquiry for proposal photos over a year ago in Lake Tahoe, progressed to me photographing their friends’ wedding in Guanajuato Mexico a few months later and finished with me traveling to New Orleans to capture their wedding celebration this past year. After my first chat with Dean I knew we were the perfect client/photographer match and I couldn’t wait to meet Rene who he would propose to.
Every little detail was thought-out for not only their proposal but for their wedding. Dean, by far, is the most passionate and organized client I have ever come across. From planning his proposal to planning every detail for his wedding, he made my job that much easier so I could focus on what was most important - the love they had for each other. Dean and Rene are the perfect combination of relaxed and organized, artistic and logical, quiet and sociable. It’s no wonder these two work so well together!
New Orleans is a special place for both Dean and Rene, so it was an obvious choice for them when they decided where they would celebrate their wedding. For several months their date remained up in the air but for good reason. Hotel Peter and Paul was under construction less than a year out from their hopeful wedding date and waiting for the venue to be completed was well worth it for these two! What was originally a historic church, school-house, rectory is now a beautifully designed, high-end hotel called Hotel Peter and Paul in the neighborhood of Faubourg Marigny just outside of the French Quarter. Dean and Rene not only have their names engraved in one of the stones outside the doors of the old church but they were the first wedding celebration to ever take place at the new venue. It gives me so much joy to share their wedding and am so happy to call these two friends. Special thanks to my beautiful friend and talented photographer Kristina Neri for flying out to help me photograph their day!
